Northeastern University’s College of Engineering and College of Business Administration are jointly seeking applications and nominations for exceptional candidates for a Full Professor or senior level Associate Professor appointment in healthcare systems. The candidate should have expertise in healthcare management, management science, systems engineering, economics, informatics, operations research, or a related discipline with an emphasis on health services research, delivery, and cost-effectiveness. The candidate will work with faculty in both colleges and across the University to help lead and further develop Northeastern’s interdisciplinary healthcare systems scholarship and funding opportunities focused on the intersection of healthcare management, systems analysis, and process improvement. The start date for this position is anticipated to be September 2011.
Qualifications: Candidates must have a doctoral degree in a closely related field, exceptional scholarly achievements within the broad domain of healthcare management science, a successful record of teaching excellence, grant writing, and research program management and a strong interest in developing interdisciplinary connections in order to address pressing issues in health care or public health. Successful candidates may be expected to teach in both of the participating colleges. Professional, consulting, or related practical healthcare experience is helpful but not required.
