Overview

With the anticipated changes in the health care industry, it is imperative that innovative care delivery and payment models be developed to increase both physician decision making (diagnostic procedures and treatment guidelines) and operational efficiency to make quality care both affordable and accessible to improve the health of those in a community. Recognizing that patient-physician relationship and interaction is the key, this forum will use the “Physician Practice” as the focal point as we identify both challenges and opportunities under the new health care economy.

The forum will focus on four key issues:

  • Payment – Innovations such as bundled payments and other reimbursement strategies
  • Practice – Impact on physician practices: diagnostic and treatment decisions
  • Care delivery – Integration of hospital, physician practice, urgent care and home care facilities
  • IT support – EMR, patient and physician systems as well as practice dashboards

Designed for maximum interaction, each presentation will be followed by group exercises to allow attendees to explore known and anticipated impediments, discuss approaches for resolutions and develop action items.

The forum will offer a variety of sessions including: Trends in Reimbursements; Improved Physician Decision Making, Enhanced Operational Efficiency, and Information Technology Innovations.

See the full list of sessions, speakers and topics available. A networking reception and Ignite Health event follows the forum on May 9.
