We are pleased to send this special early invitation to the Kay-CGU Annual Symposium (http://kaycentersymposium.cgu.edu) where we are offering a two and onehalf day educational workshop giving an in-depth look at the latest research, systems, and practice in Consumer Health Informatics. This course provides a unique opportunity to engage in dialogue with most respected experts in the field of Consumer Health Informatics.

This two and a half day intensive learning session will serve to educate professionals on the gaps and needs of the consumer as a springboard for considering and enacting exciting new ideas for using e-health systems to provide benefits throughout society. This course will also provide an opportunity for educators to share their interests and experiences in providing a consumer health informatics perspective in the classroom. Each day features a kick-off presentation by a distinguished lecturer posing a key question in which we explore practical research findings and current systems for health management for use by diverse communities and consumers. Each day will conclude with special case study analysis sections providing a detailed view of consumer use of these systems. An educators’ roundtable will provide a forum for interactive discussion on teaching consumer health informatics.
